Veronica Tamaine Tucker
August 24, 1962 - June 29, 2025

Mrs. Veronica Tamaine Tucker “Ronnie” was the daughter of the late Curtis and Lillie B. Cavaness. She was born August 24, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan. She departed this life June 29, 2025, in the comfort of her home. She is preceded in death by one son, Denno Trayshaun Daniels; her mother, Lillie B. Cavaness; her father, Curtis Cavaness; her husband, Robert Tucker; her brother, Ricardo Twine; and a host of aunts and uncles.

She was a 1980 graduate of Cooley High School in Detroit, Michigan. She soon attended Detroit Business Institute (DDI), where she graduated with her business degree. She confessed her love for Christ at an early age at Temple of Faith Baptist Church while in Detroit. After graduating she soon moved to Monticello, where she became a faithful member of New Relationship Christian Center and served as a choir member and treasurer.

Veronica wore many hats but the one that stuck for twenty-nine plus years was her daycare, Mine, Yours, and Ours. Teaching, guiding, supporting, and loving on not only the children but the family as well.
As she lived in Monticello, she has joined many organizations focused on making a difference in her community. One of her longest standing clubs was the Effie E. Brooks Civic Club. She joined this civic club in 1994. In 1989 Veronica Tucker and Robert Tucker joined in Matrimony. Their love story began where they never gave up on each other’s love.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Antjuan Tucker, Robert Tucker, Jr. (Dominique), Darrnell Powell, and Shijuan Tucker; one daughter, Sasha Tucker; four brothers, Curtis Lamar Cavaness, Christopher Cavaness, and Carlos Twine; two sisters, Yolanda Cavaness and Rhonda Bennett (Elgin); stepmother, Terri Cavaness; five aunts, Dorothy Dozier, Adell Thompson, Ira B Watkins, Hallie Valentine (Al), and Herdicine Meadows; two uncles, Lee Collier (Diane) and Dwight Cavaness (Alma); thirty-two nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery in Monticello, Arkansas.
