Henry Joseph Kucia, Jr. age 83 of Warren, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Courtyard Health and Rehabilitation in El Dorado, AR. He was born January 18, 1942, in Willington, Connecticut to the late Henry Joseph Kucia, Sr. and Ann Wyszonierski Kucia. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family. Family was very important to him. He enjoyed gardening and had a big green thumb. Henry was a devoted Christian and showed God’s love through his service with the food pantry that was located at his church and through his many donations. He was always thoughtful of other people. When relaxing at the house, Henry enjoyed listening to music.

Henry was also devoted to his service in the military. His dedication was shown through his three tours in Vietnam and his life service in the Army. When Henry retired, he and his family moved to Warren where he began teaching JROTC. He loved his job and his students.

In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Kucia.

He is survived by his daughters, Isabelle Gathright and husband Michael and Gloria Messer and husband Mike; son, Phillip Kucia; grandchildren, Chris Gathright and wife Kacy, James Gathright and wife Emilia, Shannon Holian, Holly Messer, and Henry Messer; great grandson, Asher Gathright; nephew, Pat O’Keefe; and sister Caroline Christman.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Church in Warren, Arkansas. Burial with military honors will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. You can sign Henry’s guestbook here on his page.
