June 27, 1954 - September 21, 2025

Mrs. Willie Jean Sawyer “Jean” was the second oldest child, born June 27, 1954, in Drew County, Arkansas to James Daniels and Eula Mae Green Daniels. She departed this life in the early morning of September 21, 2025. Jean gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Holy Divine Spiritual Church in Lacey, Arkansas where she served as an usher. She attended school in Lacey and later received her GED. Jean was united in holy matrimony July 17, 1971, to Robert Roy Sawyer and of this union two children were born. She enjoyed caring for her flower garden, but her true passion was cooking for her family and friends. It brought her great joy to feed anybody that came for a visit.

Jean leaves to cherish her precious memories, a daughter, Peggy Everett (Leo, Jr.); a son, Bobby Sawyer both of Monticello, AR; three bonus sons, Daryle Daniels, Sr., Rickey Daniels (Alveria), Clarence Daniels, Sr. (Wanda) all of Fountain Hill, AR; siblings, Atlean Riley, John Daniels (Deborah), Damon Daniels (Linda) all of Lacey, AR, Lisa Bell of Wilmar, AR; two grandchildren, Dominic Sawyer of Bonneterre, MO and LeNesha Everett of North Little Rock, AR; two aunts, Onnie Lee Daniels and Georgia Green both of Monticello, AR; sister in laws, Mary Childress of Crossett, AR, Carolyn Simmons of Florida, Barbara Wesley (Bruce), Cheryl Wilson of Detroit, MI, and Gracie Sawyer of Monticello, AR; a bonus brother in law, Henry George Daniels (Jessie); special niece, Cindy Robinson (Denver); special friends, Rose Foster (Troy), Mildred Thomas, Pam Lambert, Shirley Duckworth, Cheryl Collins, Lula Harden (Henry), and the Thompson Family, Shelvis, Gerald (Evelyn Faye), Angela and Lisa (Randy); as well as a host of bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Roy Sawyer; special friend, Henry Porter Daniels; her father, James Daniels; mother, Eula Mae Daniels; sister, Freda Brock; brothers, Roy Lee Daniels and James Leron Daniels; nephew, Melvin Riley; bonus son Clark Simpson; and bonus daughter, Martha Simpson.

A wake will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lacey Cemetery.
