Denton, affectionately known as "Deedie", Lambert was born in Monticello, Arkansas on December 12, 1941, to the parentage of Travis and O. V. Fisher-Lambert. He was the fifth-born of seven children of this union. As a teenager, he joined the New Light Baptist Church. He attended Drew High School, and transferred to Corning High School in Corning, New York, where he graduated in 1961. Deedie is preceded in death by both parents, along with brothers; J.W., Bill, Bob, Lawrence, and E.D.; a sister, Travistene Lambert; and a nephew, Patrick Lambert. He leaves to mourn his passing a daughter, Yulonda Lambert; granddaughters, Stacy, Mauri'onda, and Malibu Wardlaw; and great-granddaughter, Savannah Young - all of Rialto, CA. He leaves his two sisters, Ophia Jean Franklin of Midlothian, TX and Joyce Lambert-Eubanks of Maumelle, AR; and one brother, Doyle "Duke" Lambert (Mildred) of Ontario, CA. He leaves a niece who was reared as a sister-Sharon Johnson-Brooks (Reginald) of Midlothian, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello, AR. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery.
