Stella Bernice Byrd, age 71 of Monticello, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 28, 2026, at Belle View Estates in Monticello, AR. She was born July 29, 1954, in Rockford, IL.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Margaret Griffin Byrd and her father, Theo Harris Byrd. Stella was a Baptist by faith. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Margene Maloney of Monticello and Priscilla Ann Lapp of Rockford, IL.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Oakland Cemetery.
