James Ray Taylor, age 68 of Monticello, AR, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born November 27, 1957, in Bastrop, LA to Gloria Ann Norris Taylor and the late Douglas Ray Taylor.

He was a retired Medi-Vak Pilot and was of the Baptist faith. James Ray loved to fish, play cards, spending time on his tractors and just being outside. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandie Michelle Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Taylor of Monticello; his children, Jesse Taylor of Monticello, Lore Ward of Monticello, James Dugger of Kingman, AZ, Dezarae Wilson of Dumas and Nicole Tarantino of Navasota, TX; his siblings, Tamara Lewis of Monticello, David Taylor of Monticello and Terrie Wyles of Paducah, KY; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Pauline Missionary Baptist Church.
