Johnny Graham Bates, age 64 of Monticello, Arkansas, passed away at his home June 17, 2026. He was born September 4, 1961, in Houston, Texas to the late Cecil Bates, Sr. and Annie Louise Ramshur Bates.

In addition to his parents Johnny is preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Cornelius, Ruth Rumsey, and Louise Robinson; and two brothers, Thurman Bates and Cecil Bates, Jr.

He is survived by four sisters, Doris Whitley, Maxine DeLoach, Francis Gabel and Sissy Arms; two brothers, Hubert Ray Bates and Marcus Bates; one daughter, Brittany Nicole Bates; two grandsons; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
