Welcome

Sharon Sue Jones
March 18, 1942 - July 3, 2026

Sharon Sue Jones peacefully departed this life on July 3, 2026, at her home in Dermott, Arkansas where she was surrounded by the love of her family and many dear friends. She was born on March 18, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas to the late Victor Schott and Vera Welch. In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Jones; her son, Jesse Jones; her brother, Donald Schott, wife Ann and brother, Robert Schott; and her brothers-in-law, Nolan Wunderlich and Brad Carroll.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her sister, Linda Mittelstaedt (Danny); her sister, Stella Carroll; her children, Deborah Erwin (Kevin); Jammie Boykin (Larry); Kim Deason (Philip); Michelle Mills (Steven) and Jesse Ray-Lynn Jones.

She was a proud grandmother to Amber Oltmann (Jeremy); Brandon Carter (Jessica); Chasity Carter (Shane); Michael Bowman (Kerri); Samantha Bowman; Jessica Wolfford (Kenny); Angeleigh Deason; Adam Walters; Justin Mack Summer); Mellaine Mullins (Justin); Jacob Grider; Josh Grider (Makayla) and David Mills.

She was also blessed with 26 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless others who lovingly called her Mom, Grandma, or “GG.” Sharon’s greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved and welcomed everyone with an open heart. She had a servant’s spirit and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether offering encouragement, a meal, or simply her time, Sharon found purpose in caring for others and making them feel loved. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will remain an enduring legacy for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in the many memories she leaves behind and in the love she shared so freely. Sharon will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Memorial will be held in Texas. Date has yet to be confirmed.
