Raymond Burks Harvey, age 79 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in Monticello, AR. He was born February 4, 1947, in Monticello, AR to the late Clarence Harvey and Dorothy May Haire Harvey.

He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. Raymond loved talking with his friends, driving his truck, eating and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Harvey; and a sister, Mary Mixon.

Survivors include a daughter, Amy Harvey of Monticello; a son, Raymond H. Harvey, Jr. of Little Rock; siblings, Sue Hutton of Dermott, Georgia Harvey of Kelso, Anderea Plunkett and husband Ronnie of Booneville and Andy May of Memphis, TN; two very close friends, Bobby Burris and Pokey Anderson; three grandchildren, Lucas Forrest, Nathan Forrest and Andy Abney; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
