Don L. Simpson, age 78 of Warren, formerly of Monticello, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026, at Chapel Woods Nursing and Rehab in Warren. He was born March 27, 1948, in Monticello, AR to the late Robert L. and Bertie Simpson.

He was retired from Burlington Industries and SeaArk Marine and was of the Baptist faith. Don enjoyed watching television where wrestling and western movies were his favorite. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Dirk Simpson and Don L. “Ace” Simpson, II; and siblings, Downey Simpson and Geneva Copeland.

Survivors include two children, Donald Heith Simpson of Warren and Christy Hammock of Monticello; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
