Helen Lula Parker Forrest, 84, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Bradley County Medical Center in Warren. She was born May 20, 1928 in New Edinburg.
She was the widow of Daniel “Mitt” Forrest, a homemaker and a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Mayo and Lula Anders Parker and was preceded in death by one son, Henry Lee Forrest, four grandchildren, Danny Bryan, Genita Bryan, Bradley Harrison and Anthony Forrest, four brothers and one sister. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and was very devoted to her family and loved by all.
Survivors include eleven children, Delores Bryan (Stanley) of Monticello, D. H. Forrest (Dianne) of Monticello, David Forrest of Monticello, Flo Coldicott of Little Rock, Gary Forrest (Brenda) of Monticello, Edith Herring of Monticello, Audrey Williams (Danny) of Warren, Tony Forrest (Shirley) of Monticello, Janice Sims (Rusty) of Monroe, LA, Robert Forrest (Peggy) of Monticello and Linda Howell (Doug) of Springfield, MO; one brother, Huey Parker of Texas and one sister, Rosie Lee Monseaux of Lake Charles, LA; twenty eight grandchildren and forty six great-grandchildren.
