Clydia Rae Clemons Beard, 88, of Monticello passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her home. She was born September 19, 1924 in Bradley County, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles Beard, a homemaker and a member of the Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Hattie Williams Clemons and was also preceded in death by a brother, Bud Clemons and a sister, Carrie Bea Beard. Clydia Rae enjoyed crocheting and crocheted many caps and sent them to St. Jude’s Hospital for several years. Most importantly, she was a Christian and was very faithful to her church family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Juanda Craig and Marilyn Crutchfield and husband, Larry all of Monticello; two half sisters, Vergie Carpenter of Malvern and Mada Newton of Leola; two grandsons; Yancy Box of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Rick Anthony and wife, Brandy of Monticello; four granddaughters, Vanessa Johnson and husband, Dave of Monticello, Tisa Kennedy and husband, Sam of Arp, Texas, Denese Hawkins of Monticello and Monica Patrick of Batesville, AR; thirteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
