Otha Jean Brown
April 28, 1948 - January 11, 2021

Otha Jean Brown gained her heavenly wings when she passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Chapel Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warren, AR. She was born on April 28, 1948, to the late Freddie Brown and Martha Jackson in Wilmar, AR where she was reared and attended school.
She later attended classes at UAM where she attended Early Childhood Development and Education. She loved working with children, and this was her greatest joy in life. She worked at The Head of the Class Childcare Center. Otha Jean was a faithful member of the Revival Center Church in Monticello where she served as an usher and worked in the food pantry until her health began to fail.
She is preceded in death by both parents; one son, Shannon Brown; and one special aunt, Mary Jackson who helped raise her. She leaves to carry on her legacy one daughter, Miko (Melvin) Trotter of Wilmar; one son, Emery Brown of Monticello; five grandchildren, Alishia Tenner of Little Rock, Tristan Jackson of Monticello, Jarred Jackson of Little Rock, Steven (Jasmine) Jackson of Conway and Danielle Jackson of Wilmar; four great grandchildren, Nyema, Zora, Elijah and Shailynn; one sister, Carolyn Matlock of Wilmar; a very special friend, Earl Lee Daniels of Monticello; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends to share in her memory.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021, in Lacey Cemetery. There will be a come-and-go viewing from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Covid-19 guidelines will be enforced. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
