Julius Venard Wherry
April 10, 1928 - June 19, 2021

Julius Venard Wherry, age 93, passed from Mortality and Transformation into Immortality by El Shaddai, The Almighty God under the Authority of King Jesus Christ per Command to the Holy Spirit at Dawn Friday Morning June 19, 2021 for a triumphant fulfilled fruitful Three Score Ten and Three (73) accomplished For Better or Worse, through Thickness and Thin, Rich and or Poor, Have and to Hold Till Death do us Part Holy Matrimony with his Agape Loving Spouse of Honor, Integrity and Monumental Christian Virtue and a Par Excellent Accomplished Spouse, Mrs. Lillie B Woodard Wherry; and via this Holy Union God through Jesus Christ Miraculously via their only Fruitful Sibling of their 73 Years Holy Matrimonial Union with a Multiplicity Mission and Purpose only Sibling to emerge a Rockefeller Fellow and Student Fellow Of Renown Capitalist Economic Professor and Nobel Laureate Milton Friedman and career Private Sector Senior Marketing Research Analyst Winthrop Paul Rockefeller. Julius Wherry is Survived by one brother, Earl Lee Wherry of Dermott, Arkansas.
He was preceded in Transformation Mortality into Immortality by his Father and Mother Sam and Sallie Thompson Wherry; Sisters, Fannie Wherry Partee, Roxanna Wherry Ambrose, Sammie Lee Wherry McCray, Mary Francis Wherry Avery, Eva Joe Wherry Turner, Margaret Reasoning Wherry; and beloved nephews and Nieces, Fred Correll, Jr., Gloria Neil Harris, Jessie Lee Ambrose, Dibble Thompson and Attorney Julius Thompson.
Julius Wherry himself who grew up as a child under the mentorship of Dean William Hutchinson of Arkansas A&M College with his son, Dr. Bill Hutchinson MD, as children at the Hutchinson Home. Dean Hutchinson’s rigid instructional procedures to both Bill and Julius helped make them who they were.
Julius Wherry though he didn’t complete Grade School, was a Par Excellent Reader and Mathematician; well versed in business, No one could grow a high yield vegetables garden better than Mr. Buddy Boy.
Logistics and Warehouse Industrial Trucking his Par Excellent Expertise and for 20 Years at Potlatch Lumber and Flooring at Warren, Arkansas. He was head of shipping and receiving; in addition the final 35 Years at Burlington Industries as head in local transport of Goods and Finished Products via Burlington’s Three Manufacturing Facilities then located at Monticello, Arkansas. He was a Fellow of Fellows giving Validity and Integrity Reasoning he was Known as Buddy Boy. His Transformation from Earthly Mortality was in Room 1302 of Historic Drew Memorial Hospital, Monticello, Arkansas.
He was a life-long member of the Pilgrim Rest African Methodist Episcopal Church, Monticello, Arkansas; and in his senior years developed a bond friendship with wife’s Pastor, Darrion Buffington and the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church giving Validity and Integrity Reasoning in due respect of his beloved spouse in having his Funeral Service held at this great and historic Church.
Julius Wherry survivors are his beloved Agape Loving Spouse of 73 Years, Mrs. Lillie B. Woodard Wherry.
The only sibling of the Holy Matrimonial Union, Dr. Sam Wherry PhD/MBA and his Agape Caregiving Loving Spouse, to both Julius and Lillie Wherry, Retired Corporate Fashion and Design Executive, Mrs. Dorothy Williams Wherry, both of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mr. Julius Wherry’s Par Excellent Accomplished siblings Mr. John Wesley Hubbard, Mrs. Becky Courtney Daniels and Mr. Rickey Courtney all of Monticello, Arkansas and Reverend Dewayne Courtney of Little Rock, Arkansas and His Beloved Grandsons of whom he honored and cherished unconditionally.
Mr. Antonio “Tony” Wherry IT Engineer and Spouse Latrice Williams Wherry Occupational Therapist of Lewisville, Texas and Reggie Darnell Wherry Barber of whom Julius Wherry had unconditional Agape Love of Monticello, Arkansas of the Union Julius & Lillie B. Wherry and all grandchildren. Julius Wherry’s unconditional favorites are his brother and sister-in-law, Rufus and Johnnie Mae Woodard Thomas and their Stellar Son Rickey Thomas and the Thomas siblings.
Mr. Parnell McCray and Mrs. Jacqueline McCray Thompson his beloved late sister whom her cherished Mrs. Sammie Lee Wherry McCray siblings, his pride and joy Parnell McCray who emerged first in Family Graduate from College and Post Graduate Schools with honor, integrity and achievements as well Distinguished Faculty Academic Faculty Fellow School of Mathematics and Computer Science Historic Arkansas AM&N/UAPB Pine Bluff.
He also leaves a host of nephews, niece’s, grand and great grandchildren and friends and fellows of every ethnicity.
