Bobbie Jean Stephenson Rodgers, age 83 of Monticello passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born March 27, 1930 in the Greenhill Community the daughter of the late Guy Stephenson and Bertie Andrews Stephenson.

She was a homemaker, owner/operator of Rodgers Jewelry and Gifts in the early 1980’s in Monticello and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many. Bobbie was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanette Deal, Evalene Holloway and Ruby Lynn Stedman.

Survivors include her husband of sixty six years, Jimmie Rodgers of Monticello; two sons, Jimmie L. Rodgers and wife Aundie and Randy S. Rodgers and wife Vanessa both of Crossett; two brothers, Bill Stephenson and wife Betty and Travis Stephenson and wife Eleanor both of Greenhill; three granddaughters, Amber Pope and husband Mason of Crossett, Shana Marquis and husband Tony of Shreveport, LA and Brandi Dodson and husband Frank of Crossett; six great-grandchildren, Anna Kate and Grace Pope, Madison and Macy Marquis, Ty and Lana Dodson.
