Send Flowers Send Flowers
A beautiful life came to a close on June 23, 2014, when The Reverend Robert "Sonny" White was called from his earthly labor. His life journey began on September 24, 1947, at Pickens, Arkansas. He was baptized at an early age and accepted the Lord's calling into the ministry in 2007. He was serious about his calling and served the Lord faithfully at every opportunity he received.

He was united in holy matrimony to Betty (Stanley) White on October 26, 1968, and received into this union one daughter, Jennifer. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Mr. Richard Austin and Mrs. Gussie Austin, who raised him from a baby and loved him like their own. His father, Mr. J. W. White, and his stepmother, Mrs. Beatrice White, three brothers, Carl Lee White, Curlee White, Dwight Williams, and a sister, Arletha White also preceded him in death.

He will always be cherished in the hearts of his devoted wife, Betty White and his loving daughter, Jennifer White of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Williams of Mitchellville, eleven brothers, Jerry (Shirley) Postway, James White, and Andrew (Vicki) White of Pine Bluff, Mack (Diane) White of Marietta, GA, Andrew Williams and Earl Williams of Mitchellville, Roy Williams, Kenny Williams of Winchester, Michael Williams of Gould, Jeff Williams and James Williams; nine sisters, Juanita (Larry) Robinson of Broken Arrow, OK, Brenda White of Richmond, TX, Shirley (Donald) of Grand Prairie, TX, Cynthia (David) Holmes of Pine Bluff, Tina White of Altheimer, Diane Williams and Gail Williams of Dumas, Gussie Lowe and Demetrius Williams of Little Rock. He will also be missed by a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and loving friends.

2 Timothy 4/7 I have fought long and hard for my Lord, and through it all I have kept true to him. And now the time has come for me to stop fighting and rest. In heaven a crown is waiting for me which the Lord, the righteous Judge will give me on that great day of his return.
