He attended Drew High School of Monticello. He became a business owner at age 21 and successfully operated the Columbus Green Pulpwood and Logging Company for 46 years. He served his country for 11 years in the United States Army.
He and his loving wife, Caroline Ann Sawyer, were united in holy matrimony on June 5, 1969.
His family and community will always remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and businessman. He loved people and served as a support to everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John A. John H. and Carl Lee Green, one sister, Willie Dale Pete, and one son, Steven A. Green.
Joining his wife, he leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Henry Green of Little Rock, AR, and Johnathan E. Green of Monticello, AR; three daughters, Sandra (Stanley) Giles and Charlotte Green, both of Little Rock, AR, and Chloe White of Conway, AR; one brother, Earnest (Lillie) Green of Lacey, AR; two sisters, Eula Mae Daniels and Georgia Green, both of Monticello, 15 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a plethora of relatives and friends.
