Steve was a retired truck driver and mechanic, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era, a lifetime member of the American Legion, and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Nelka Sue Wells.
Survivors include his brothers, Bryon Leggett and wife, Mildred of Monticello, Tom Leggett and wife Neely of Monticello, Joe Leggett and wife Kay of Gilbert, Arizona, David Leggett and wife Sharon of Camden, Pat Leggett and wife Nova of Monticello and Randy Leggett and wife Ruby of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Mary Leggett Murphy and husband Charles of Bryant and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
