He attend school in Lacey, AR and worked many years in the pulpwood industry until his health began to fail.
He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Olive AME Church. He was a joy to be around and had many friends around Lacey and the Monticello area.
He was also proceeded in death by two brothers, Winford Fisher and Larry Spencer, and one sister, Francine Matthews.
He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Jonathan Spencer of St. Louis, MO, and Norman Spencer of Winchester, AR; one step-daughter, Constance Felton of Nevada, CO; two brothers, Dalton (Martha) Fisher and Kent (Sandra) Spencer, both of Monticello, AR; one sister, Tyronza David of Monticello, AR; three grandsons, one granddaughter, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Lacey Cemetery. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
