Send Flowers Send Flowers
Brad Amoroso was loved and known by many. Many people knew him by Brad, many Amo, but some knew him as brother, husband, and daddy. Brad was a life-long scholar, attending Victory Christian Academy, Zackary High School, and Monticello High School where he graduated in 1992. He was an avid member of the Arts community, Graduating from UAM with his BA in English with a Concentration in Writing where he tutored at the Writing Center and became Editor of the First Edition of the UAM Voice online newspaper, later becoming Editor of the Eagle Democrat. He worked at radio stations KHBM, KXSA, and KGPQ where he was program director and was known throughout the community for his production and his work in advertising.

An accomplished musician and seasoned performer, Brad had a preternatural gift for music. Brad was a bandmate to some, a mentor to others, and an inspiration for his daughter; all within whom he helped cultivate knowledge, understanding, and appreciation for artistry and a greater love for the gift of music.

Brad's passing on January 29th, 2015 is survived by his loving wife, Meghan and by his daughter, best friend and light of his life; Zoe Amoroso. Other survivors are his mother and stepfather, Diana and Joe Arceneaux. 2 sisters; Ramona LeBeouf ( Collins ) and Rhonda Fillman ( Jim ) 4 brothers , Nick (Kelly), Michael (Marsia), Bruce (Christy ) and Brian (Cheryl) and a host of the coolest neices and nephews a man could ever have. He is preceded by his father Nicholas Amoroso; grandparents; Lenes and Ivy Auenson and Tony "TJ" and Annie Amoroso and brother; David.

Honorary pallbearers Brad Moxley, Harvey Piper, JB Mitchell, Jeff Millerd, Sean Prescott, David Prince, Chris McKeown, Shawn Wylie, Brandon Acree and Brian Eason carry Brad's cherished memory hereafter.

Services are to follow on Sunday, February 8th at 2:00 in the foyer of the Memorial Classroom Building (MCB) at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Brad was one of the most positive and easygoing people I've ever known. It was a privilege to know him even if only for a short time. He was an exceptionally talented musician, as well as a scholar. I used to enjoy talking with him about philosophy and life. He said he was leaning towards Taoism, and got me interested in Asian religion and culture. I'm sure he had a lot to do with my moving to Japan after graduating college. I didn't know his premature departure would leave such a hole in my heart, but I feel as though I've lost a brother. Meghan and Zoe, I'm far away physically, but I'm here with you in spirit, and here for you if you need anything.

Brad and I spent much time together, particularly bonding over various genres of music. We'd stay up much of the night at each other's parents homes listening to The Beatles one night, perhaps Wynton Marsalis another, Led Zep the next, etc. We drifted apart over the years, but I never forgot those good times together.
