He was a mechanic and of the United Pentecostal Church faith.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Howell Smith of Monticello; three sons, Shawn Smith and wife Michelle of Carlisle, Jay Jones and wife Jennifer of Warren, and Jonathan Jones and wife Becky of Hamilton, OH; five daughters, Terri Smith Atwood of Springdale, Robbye Jones Eyman and husband Duke of Monticello, Stephanie Smith Genger and husband Mike of Incheon, Korea, Lyndie Jones Johnston and husband David of Monticello and Jeanne Jones Hipp and husband Freddy of Crossett; one brother, Ricky Smith and wife Beth of Stuttgart; one sister, Teresa Smith Carter and husband Lonnie also of Stuttgart; twenty-five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday night at funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
