    Laura and Family,
We continue to pray for you as you go through this time of loss. We know the Lord has promised strength for the journey. We have such fond memories of you and Scott when you were a vital part of our ABS group at the U of A. Scott was always there to lend a hand, provide a meal or encourage those who were struggling. Kind and quiet, caring and giving describe the man he was. We are so thankful the Lord brought our paths together.

    Judy and family,
So sorry to hear of Scott's passing. I remember him as an energetic, fun-loving young man who always had a smile when we went to church together at Westside Baptist Church in Osceola. Seems like an eternity. He had grown into such a handsome young man. I will be praying for you all during this sad time. One day, we will be reunited as God has promised.
    Love,
    Susie

The services this evening were what I believe Scott had hoped they would be. Some singing, some preaching, praising God for the good He had brought us through Scott, a bit of a celebration of his life and lastly, the information and way to find your way to eternal salvation. Scott was a humble man, with a very positive attitude who wanted to make a difference in people's lives. He was willing to take on any task and asked for nothing but prayer in return. Scott was a giving man who did his best to bless as many people as he could by his kindness and works. Even as he prepared to meet his Maker...Scott was still concerned about and determined to help others. His offering of his kidneys to my wife before passing (even though they were later found to not be a match) is yet another example of his giving nature and thinking of others before himself. His actions deeply touched our family. Scott has made a large footprint at Shady Grove and lived a life that others could/should emulate. The good works he did, the time he gave and the legacy he left behind were all done so as his way of serving God. I never saw him in a bad mood, nor did I hear him speak in a negative way toward anyone. He was truly a child of God. My youngest son enjoyed being taught by him in AWANAS. I enjoyed his being a part of the men's prayer group early each Sunday morning and working with him in numerous activities for the chirch and community. If there was something going on at or with the church....be it worship, fun or service...Scott was always there. His love of God and mankind helped make Shady Grove a better place. Scott and Laura were and still are a part of the Shady Grove family. Those who knew Scott were blessed to have had that opportunity and those who didn't know him as well as they would have liked missed a tremendous opportunity to better understand how a true follower of Jesus Christ should be. You will be missed, my Brother....and one day we will reunite again. Laura (and family)...we love you and are here for you should you need us for anything...Our prayers are with you now and in the future. Laura, you are a part of the Shady Grove family...and we are thankful for you. May God keep you, watch over you and grant you peace and wisdom in this great time of turmoil and loss. Amen.

My heart is broken and I know you are in great pain. God is good to hold you in his arms and will help you. Lean on him and remember there are lots of folks out here that remember Scott and love your family. Scott was always a giving, forgiving person. I remember him as a youth but was proud of all he had grown to become. Hold onto all those sweet memories and rejoice in his love for you and his love for God. Your reunion one day will be great.
