He was a faithful Jehovah Witness, a retired logger and served in United States Army (World War II) for six years, receiving the Purple Heart Medal. His free time was spent visiting his brother, Esley who resides in Belleview Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sulisteen Harden Riley; three brothers, Leslie, L.C. and Charlie Lee Riley; one sister, Ida Mae Bunns; one sister-in-law and two nephews.
He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Alvernia (Atlean) and Esley Riley of Lacey; a special niece, LaRaine Green (Alvin), four sister-in-laws, Betty Harden, Callean Harden, Claudia Handley, Lonnie Mae Swift; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lacey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
