Joe Bob Dickey, age 85 of Monticello, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at Belle View Estates Nursing & Rehab in Monticello. He was born December 20, 1929 in the Cominto Community in Drew County to the late Fee Dickey, Sr. and Dessie Augusta Kizer Dickey.

He was a retired rural letter carrier, United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Enon Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Patty Ann Dickey Trinca.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ila Carlyne Owen Dickey of Monticello; one daughter, Cheryl Leigh Dickey Dunn and husband Kevin Dewayn Dunn of Monticello; two grandsons, Daniel Joseph Dunn and wife Angela Lynn Dunn of Horatio and Thomas Allen Dunn of Monticello; one great-granddaughter, Sydney Breann Dunn of Horatio; one brother, Fee Dickey, Jr. of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Rash Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
