He was a retired co-owner of F & F Boats and a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lavon and Jerry Flemister and a grandson, John Kevin Flemister.
Survivors include his wife, Bonita Cockrell Flemister of Monticello; two sons, Doug Flemister of Monticello and Mike Flemister and wife Lisa of Warren; one daughter, Beverly Flemister Lloyd and husband, Michael of Monticello; one brother, Larry Flemister and wife Molly of Monticello; a sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Flemister of Monticello; thirteen grandchildren, Brandon Lloyd and wife Michell, Brian Flemister and wife Hannah, Jeremy Lloyd and wife Kristen, Justin Flemister and wife Lora, Brooke Flemister Smith and husband Josh, Blake Lloyd, Max Flemister and wife Jana, Matthew Flemister, Blake Burns, Amy Flemister LaFever and husband Thomas, Dustin Burns, Brady and Cait Flemister; nine great grandchildren, Kagan Lloyd, Macy Lloyd, Blair Lloyd, Kenna Lloyd, Lani Burns, Jackson Smith, Drake Flemister, Lucy Cate Smith and Blaze Burns; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
