Robert Glen Garganeous, age 59 of Augusta, GA passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Augusta. He was born January 2, 1956 in Malvern, AR to the late Carl Eugene Garganeous and Bettie Jo Lacy Garganeous.

Robert was retired from the United States Marine Corp after 21 years and 11 months of service and was a Deputy Sheriff with the Richmond County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the VFW, a Christian and member of the Assembly of God faith. His hobbies included woodworking and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three infant children, Sharon Michelle Garganeous, and twins, Kimberly Marie and Melissa Gail Garganeous.

Robert is survived by his wife, Karen Kaye Hayes Garganeous, formerly of Monticello, now residing in Grovetown, GA; one son, Carl Jay Garganeous and wife Ashley of Harlem, GA; four brothers, Jerry Lynn Garganeous and wife Ramona, and Carl Randell Garganeous and wife Pam, all of Pine Bluff, Jimmy Ray Garganeous, and Michael Wayne Garganeous and wife Denise, all of Jefferson, AR; one grandson, Toby Wyatt Garganeous; and one aunt, Sue Judkins of Monticello.

Funeral service will be held at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Bobby Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery with full military honors. Online guestbook: www.stephensondearman.com.
