He was retired from the Ashley, Drew and Northern Railroad and was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Porter graduated from Monticello High School in the class of 1947. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Elaine Lewis Porter.
Survivors include two sons, John David Porter of Crossett and Robert H. Porter, Jr. of Nashville, TN.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello. He sleeps in Christ. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
