Bro. Pippen was a steward for a number of years, president of the Laymen organization, member of the Men's Church School class, a choir member of the Senior Choir, a trustee, a cook for the church for many years, served as custodian, but most of all a very, very strong prayer warrior.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Betty G. Pippen. To this union four children were born; Nancy M. Parks of Garland, TX, Charleston Pippen (Bridgett) of Monticello, Albert R. Pippen (Carolyn) of Arlington, TX, and Pattine Robinson (James) of Cedar Rapid, IA; a brother, Elbert Johnson of Crossett. He was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and a host of inlaws, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 Friday, October 2, 2015 at Soldiers Chapel A.M.E. Church, 906 North Pine Street in Hamburg with visitation on Thursday at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Burial will be in Pugh Cemetery, 208 Hancock Rd, Crossett.
