Bro. Herman Pippen, age 73 was born October 17, 1941 in Milo and departed September 24, 2015 at Delta Regional medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi. He was a member of Soldiers Chapel A.M.E. Church. Bro. Pippen worked for the State Highway Department for 26 years until his health began to fail. Bro. Pippen was a man of many caps. He loved to hunt. He and his family have their own camp, Pippen's Hunting Club. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 232 in Hamburg, AR. He was a father to many young men in his neighborhood. He always had a word to help or guide anyone that needed help. He loved to have dinners and cookouts with family and friends, loved all holidays, but most of all loved all his grandchildren and great grandkids. His belief was "It's not over until God says it's over."

Bro. Pippen was a steward for a number of years, president of the Laymen organization, member of the Men's Church School class, a choir member of the Senior Choir, a trustee, a cook for the church for many years, served as custodian, but most of all a very, very strong prayer warrior.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Betty G. Pippen. To this union four children were born; Nancy M. Parks of Garland, TX, Charleston Pippen (Bridgett) of Monticello, Albert R. Pippen (Carolyn) of Arlington, TX, and Pattine Robinson (James) of Cedar Rapid, IA; a brother, Elbert Johnson of Crossett. He was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and a host of inlaws, nephews, nieces, and friends.
