Alice Freida Madden Etheredge, age 66 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at her home. She was born September 2, 1949 in Plain Dealing, LA to the late Argie Leon Madden and Alice Gertrude Warren Madden. She was co-owner and operator of the Fountain Hill Fish House for several years and also worked in the Monticello School cafeteria. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed reading, crocheting and cooking meals for her family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Michele Beckham and one brother, Samuel Alfred Madden.

Alice is survived by her husband of 48 years, Larry Etheredge of Monticello, who was the love of her life; two sons, Bobby Allen Etheredge and fiancé Lisa Gray and Christopher Michael Etheredge and wife Bonnie all of Monticello; one brother, Melton Madden and one sister, Fleta Collins both of Monticello; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Noel, Joseph Noel, Bobby Etheredge, Jr. and Lillian Etheredge all of Monticello; five great grandchildren Jaden, Leon, Lauren, Gannon and Brianna; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at the United Pentecostal Church, 1115 Hwy 278 West in Monticello with Rev. Rodney Thompson and Rev. Rex Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8-00 p.m. Sunday evening at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Online guestbook: www.stephensondearman.com.
