She was the widow of Gene Chambers, a cosmetologist, homemaker and a Christian. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, D. W. Birchfield, Jr.; and three sisters, Janie Royce, Margarett Frizzell and Aline Price.
Survivors include one son, Rueben Minchew and wife Robbin of Sheridan; one daughter, Deshone Gray and husband Gene of Benton; her mother in law, Dorothy Chambers of Monticello; her special friend, Bonner Hayden of Monticello; two sisters, Lorine Carlton of Star City and Carolyn Clark of Converse, LA: six grandsons, Dustin Gray, Tyler Gray, Michael Frizzell, Dustin Lane Gray, Dustin Minchew and Kindle Christmas; five granddaughters, Destiney Minchew, Kieura Christman, Kaya Christman, Kenya Christman and Tesla Gray; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Palmyra Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
