She was the widow of Gerald Derryberry, a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith attending Mt. Tabor Methodist Church for many years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Bobby Wilson and Elma Boatman; one great-grandchild, Patience Hogue, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Derryberry and David Derryberry; two daughters, Barbara Derryberry and Phylliss Derryberry Hogue; two brothers, Havis Cherry and Horace Cherry and one sister, Gay Cole; nine grandchildren, Ray, Robin, Johnny, Grant, Kirk, Davida, Jason, Dean and Christina; twenty one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 14, 2016 in the Tillar Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
