Sweet, sweet lady. We all wore crocheted shaws made by her back in the 70s. Memories.
  2. Judy Hatley Smith
Sister Hesselbein was a virtuous Christian woman in the truest sense. She was a blessing to me.
  3. Susan Rice
What a precious christian person she was with a huge heart! She was always inspiring by everything she did from walking everyday to her beautiful crafts. I am thankful she was a part of my life and great grandmother of my sons Trey and Matt Rice! She will be missed and is now in heaven with family and friends that she has lost through her life on earth. She is someone I will always hold special in my heart.
My sincere condolences to Harold, Joyce, Hal, Trey, Matt and the entire family!
    Susan

To all the family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a wonderful Christian lady and a good friend to my parents (Rev. & Mrs. Hoppers) during their lifetime. I spent time in Miss Ellen's home as a child and ate several meals in their home. God bless all of you.
  5. The Hanus Family
Praying for peace and comfort for your hearts at this sad time.
    With all our love,

My sweet "Mom". Not many people get to know their great grandmother. I am so very very blessed. Holding her hand was one of my favorite things to do. One long night in the hospital when she was so confused, we just prayed over one another. She said you pray for me and I'll pray for you. Oh how I will miss you! You were 102 years old and what a beautiful legacy of God's love you have left that runs deep in my family. I will cherish every memory.

  9. Sharon Bayliss
I've known Sis. Hesselbein since the 1950s. She was always a perfect example of a true Christian Lady. I knew her from New Bethel Assembly in Lake Village where they pastored and was reacquainted with her when we moved to Monticello. I had the privilege of visiting with her several times over the years until she moved. I loved her. I now pray her family may find the peace and joy she is now experiencing with The Lord. Sharon Beavers Bayliss.
