valley Falls, KS Monday, January 23, 2017 Kids. Ms. Mavis & Mr. Pete were ery special people in our lives at Jones, LA. i will never forget the day i found out why your dad had a "bald is beautiful "tag on his truck (he took off his hat!) And i loved the story ms Mavis told about sutffing the turkey with raw rice. - trying to follow Ms Lucy's recipe. The bird ended up being full of "buckshot".None of us could cook like Ms Lucy, the true Cajun. And then there were the floods. Even tho we have been gone from The Ridge fpr 30 years, the memories of our days with Ms Mavis are still special ones. Back when we were all so much younger! our sympathies to all of you MarySue Gartrell
