James Lee Clark, age 64 of Monticello, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born November 2, 1952 in Drew County to Ella Block Clark of Los Angeles, CA and the late Dewy Charles (DC) Franklin, II.

He was a retired cross country truck driver for J. B. Hunt and was a member of Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church, serving as the church's van driver until his health began to fail. James loved the Lord, family, friends and his church. He graduated from Fremont High in Los Angeles, CA, class of 1970. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Matte and Eddie Block, I; paternal grandparents, Birdie Lee Elliott and Dewy Charles Franklin, I; two brothers, Joe Franklin and Keith Franklin.

Survivors include his mother, Ella Block Clark of Los Angeles, CA; four daughters, Monique Clark-Barber (Major) of Las Vegas, NV, Cheyanne Clark-Judd (Caleb) of St. Louis, MO, Megan Clark and MyKell Clark both of Las Vegas, NV; five sisters, Sarah OKad, Thelma Wood, Pericella Robinson (Minister Anthony) all of Los Angeles, CA, Geraldine Franklin Bealer (James), Kathy Franklin Walton (Lee Drew) and Keronica Franklin Bentz (Andrew) all of Monticello, AR; two brothers, Charles Franklin, II (Tanya) of Monticello and Gregory Fulford of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Melissa Barber, Adell Bowman, Antwon Parker, DaVon Parker, Victoria Mike, Aliya Judd and one on the way; six great-grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and one special niece, Karen Bealer.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 and Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in Wilmar Cemetery. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
