Mike was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and making memories with countless friends and family along the way. He worked at several vocations but most notably as owner and operator of Cavaness Feed & Seed and as your Drew County Clerk for 22 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran.
The family asks that you make donations to the Alzheimer Foundation in honor of his beloved Wanda or the church or charity of your choice. Please gain comfort in knowing that his life was well spent and that those of us left behind are all a bit more blessed because we had an opportunity to know and love this most remarkable man.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dennis Spence and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
