He was retired from United States Army as a Sergeant First Class (E7) and was a member of the Monticello Baptist Temple. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by one sister, Helen Taller
.
Ret. SFC Moore was a retired Navy and Army Veteran having served in multiple combat zones during his military career. He retired with 26 years of honorable military service and was awarded numerous medals including a Bronze Star.
Ret. SFC Moore lived his life to serve others and to share his love for Christ. He was a member of the local VFW, American Legion, and Woodman of the World and a member and trustee of Monticello Baptist Temple.
Ret. SFC Moore lived a life that served as testimony to the amazing man that he was. He was an active Papaw and his family brought him much joy and laughter. He enjoyed spending time hunting because it was his quiet time to connect with God. He lived a life that touched many people and made a positive impact on everyone he met. He had a forgiving heart and departed this world at peace and holding no grudges. He firmly believed the world would only change when everyone turned back to God. He had pride in this country and loved to celebrate the freedom he fought for and made sure that he instilled that same love into his family and community.
Ret. SFC Moore will be greatly missed but wanted everyone to celebrate his life. He was confident that he would be accepted into the arms of Jesus when he took his final breath and wanted his friends and family to feel peace with his passing.
