She was a retired textile mill worker and a member of Bayou Mason Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late William T. Stewart and Laura Jean Burton Stewart.
Survivors include her husband, Grady Smith of Lake Village; two daughters, Sheila McDonald of Monticello and Maria McDonald of Lake Village; one brother, Jerry Stewart of Monticello; three grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
