Lerone took pride in cutting down trees. He was known for making people laugh and smile. Every day he had to watch his Western TV shows. He attended Wilmar High School in Wilmar, AR. The most important moment in his life was when he reunited with his church family, Monticello #1 COGIC under the leadership of Elder Jimmy Davis and later in life, New Relationship under the leadership of Pastor Martez Scott.
He met the love of his life, Virginia Ann Clifton, in Wilmar, AR, and they were united in Holy Matrimony at the age of 16 until his death. Lerone loved his children, Bobby Ray, Dorothy, Brenda, Wayne, Helen, and Timothy. He was called "Papa" by all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a close bond with his brothers and sisters. "Booster" had many family and friends.
Cherishing his memories forever is his loving wife, Virginia of 64 years; his children, Dorothy Foster of Monticello, Bobby Ray (Charlene) of Uskwa, WA, Brenda (Donald) Freeman of Monticello, AR, Helen of Houston, TX, Wayne (Jackie) of Spokane, WA, and Timothy of Milwaukee, WI. He also leaves his sister, Rose Grays of Pine Bluff, AR; his brothers, Adrian Clifton and James (Euraphen) Clifton all of Monticello, AR.
Those preceding him in death are his parents, grandparents, his brother, Lloyd, and his sisters, Helen and Maurene Clifton.
