He was a retired fitter at SeaArk Marine and was of the Baptist faith, attending Calvary Baptist Church. He was a mechanic at heart, loved hunting, fishing and camping. Albert loved spending time with his family and friends about town, but most important to him, was frequent visits to his quiet place to spend time with his Lord. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Donald Davis and three sisters, Martha Crawford, Gladys Rash and Ruby Dalsis.
Survivors include his wife, Lelia Guin Davis of Monticello; two sons, Miles Douglas Davis and wife Susan R. and Willie Rex Davis and wife Sabrina all of Monticello; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Maggie Lloyd of Collins, Mildred Bateman and Audrey Connor both of Pine Bluff and Louise Davison of OK; numerous nieces, nephews and friends and a son by choice, Rodney Pruitt of Mobile, AL.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Union Cemetery at Rye. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
