She was a retired manager and sales clerk for Dollar General Stores and was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bruce Forrest, Dub Forrest and Johnny Ray Forrest; and three sisters, Carolyn Masters, Patricia Perry and Rebecca "Becky" Hines.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, H. W. Guthrie of Monticello; two brothers, Danny Forrest and wife Brenda of Beebe and Donnie Forrest and wife Cindy of Monticello; one sister, Debra Camden of Gulf Shores, AL; sister-in-law, Geraldine Guthrie Woodell and husband Jim of Searcy; surviving in-laws, Joann Forrest, Mike Masters, Carl Perry and J. R. Hines; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
