Wesley "Wes" Tucker, age 86 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at his home. He was born February 24, 1934 in Lincoln County, AR to the late Guy B. Tucker and Myrtle Bostian Tucker.

He retired from the United States Air Force as a Tech Sergeant after 22 years of service, sold insurance for American General Insurance Company for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Wes served tours of duty in Europe and Thailand, where they flew missions to Vietnam, serving as an AP (Air Policeman). He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying deer hunting and loved being at the Lincoln Drew Deer Camp with his buddies. He loved his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He presented himself friendly and had many, many friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Noah.

Survivors include his wife, Mary "Cissy" Gannaway Tucker of Monticello; two sons, Mark Tucker and wife Christy of Shady Shores, TX and Jason Tucker of Kimberly, WI; four daughters, Debbie Spayde and husband Rick of Long Beach, MS, Sherri Brosky and husband Dave of Greenwell Springs, LA, Paula Webb and husband Charles of Rock Springs and Suzanne Smith of Knoxville, TN; his sister, Opal Tucker Ward and husband Kim of Monticello; three nephews, John Ward, Roger Ward and Michael Ward all of Monticello; fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Private family graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Cornerville Cemetery in Lincoln County with Military Honors. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.

    Gosh, I wish I had known that Wesley was living in Monticello.
    I would occasionally visit other friends on trips up there. . The last time that I saw Wes was at Walmart store in McGehee several years ago. Prayers are for his family. May God give them comfort and peace in his passing.

    It is with deep regret and sympathy that Kathryn and I have learned of the death of Wesley. Though my dad, Wm. S. "San" Tucker of Feenyville, was buried 1939 in the Cornerville Cemetery, I never had the opportunity to know Wes and family in my early years. It was only through the Cornerville Tucker Family Reunion at Cornerville, which Kathryn and I had the privilege to run for ten years, that I had the opportunity to know Wes. I knew immediately that he was a cousin that I could easily be a friend of,
