Sheryl Kay Ross Burton, age 70 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at her home. She was born April 9, 1950 in Monticello, AR to the late Robert David "Bob" Ross and Doris Reedy Ross.

She was the widow of Larry Burton, co-owner/operator of The Outpost convenience store and bait shop in Lake Village and was of the Baptist faith. Kay enjoyed shopping, traveling and eating out. Her family was the love of her life and most important thing to her. She loved her family unconditionally, always being there for them. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved them unconditionally. Kay was a very loving wife, mother and mamaw. She always took great pride in how she looked as she was a very pretty woman, inside and out. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son Clint; her step-mother, Anne Ross; and brother-in-law, Robert Burton.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Burton and wife Kay of Monticello; one daughter, Sonya Burton Floriani and husband Vincent of Vicksburg, MS; four grandchildren, Cody Floriani, Tiffany Burton Fisher and husband Clay; Zackary Burton and wife Erin and Heather Floriani; brothers-in-law, Randy Burton, Kenneth Burton and wife Kathryne, Jackie Burton and wife Betty and Ricky Burton and wife Michelle; sister-in-law, Linda Burton Carpenter and husband Lloyd; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and her special pet dog, Chevy.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello. A viewing following the COVID-19 guidelines will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
