She was the widow of Clifford E. Curtis and Vernon Dickey, a homemaker, owned her own lawn service and was of the Southern Baptist faith. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert Jr. Curtis and Derwin Ray Curtis; one grandson, Robert Chalk; and three sisters, Orpha Evans Coddington, Marie Evans Russell and Joan Evans Wells.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Dickey and wife Samantha of Monticello and Wesley Curtis of McGehee; one daughter, Peggy Curtis Chalk of Monticello; a very special son by choice, Tommy Trantham of Monticello; nine grandchildren, Catherine, Laura, Clifford, Sherry Kay, Joe, Chad, Dale, Dustin and Kyle; nineteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home following COVID-19 guidelines. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
