He was a retired pipeline operator, a Christian, United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he was wounded in the battle of la Drang Valley and received the Vietnam Service Medal. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Bobby liked having projects to do such as building things, working on cars, playing solitaire and was pretty good at drinking beer.
Survivors include one daughter, Amber Herring of Denver, CO; step-daughter, Charlotte Langley of New Boston, TX; sister, Joan Wooldridge of Monticello; two nephews, Kenny of Monticello and Kevin of Columbus, OH.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2020, at Campground Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Villages of America or Alzheimer's Association. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
