She was the widow of Doyle Edward Burton, a homemaker and member of the New Hope Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Brian Wilson Burton; grandson, John Hester; and her brothers, Aubrey Wilson, Charles Hayden Wilson; and sister, Bennie Wilson Black.
Martha worked part-time at Town and Country Florist for a few years. She loved to do needlework, quilting, reading, and collecting pretty things. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and going on trips to Mountain View and the beach.
Survivors include three sons, Doyle Alan (Buck) Burton and wife Dorcas of the Green Hill community, Joe Don (Donnie) Burton and wife Jonene of Dayton, TX and Robert Burton of the Green Hill community; three daughters, Joy Cooper and husband Fred of Monticello, Melinda Loveless and husband Herschell of the Valley community and Debbie Burton of the Green Hill community; one sister, Linda Berryman and husband Joe of the Green Hill community; one brother, Larry Wilson and wife Charlotte of the New Hope community; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Burton of Durham, NC.
Surviving grandchildren include Brandon Burton, Jason Cooper, Amber Terry, Jessica Ripkowski, Josh Hester, Desiree Doucet, Rebecca Leigh Loveless, Karen Reed, Dane Loveless, Cody Poe, Kyle Poe, Kayla Scruggs, Makenzie Burton and Devin Burton; nineteen great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in Green Hill Cemetery. A Visitation at the cemetery will begin at 9:00. For more information visit www.stephensondearman.com.
