She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She was very dedicated and faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church, until her health failed. She also was an active member of the Effie E. Brooks Civic Club.
She received her education at Drew High School in Monticello. She was employed with Burlington Industries for 20 plus years and then went on to be employed with Monticello School District, as a custodian for 22 years where she retired.
She was preceded in death by her son Don Albert Gray, three sisters Allie Mae Jones, Frances Phillips and Patricia Ann Lewis. Two brothers Thomas Jones and Calvin Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters Patricia Mitchell, Sandra Harris and Jacqueline Spencer, all of Monticello, Arkansas; one son, Paul (Chekiona) Jones of Wilmar, Arkansas; two sisters, Joe Lynn Jones and Judy (John) Ferrell, both of Monticello, Arkansas; one sister- in- law, Euphemia Jones, of Warren, Arkansas; one brother, James (Joyce) Jones of Waynesville, Missouri; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three special friends, Stephanie Fowler, Owen Faye Mitchell and Sammie Wells; one special niece, Diane Avery; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside services are Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Oakland Cemetery. A walk-through viewing will be Friday, August 14, 2020 from 5:00 6:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Please sign the online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.

Mama Dot and I have had wonderful time sitting and talking about the Lord and she will always asked do I remember my parents living on Vinegar Hill. Mama Dot would always tell me about every person who lived on Vinegar Hill and she will sit and talk most of the night about church, family and friends. Mama Dot gave all the kids nick names and we would discuss the reason she gave them the nick names. I will definitely miss this lady who was a woman of God and she will do anything to help anyone who was in need.
