Jerry mastered the art of cooking. His specialties included greens, yams, and the family favorite '''' baby back ribs. He also loved gardening, especially growing tomatoes and watermelon. On weekends, he enjoyed working on race cars and later found pleasure in buying and flipping trucks and cars. His favorite sports were football and basketball, and he especially enjoyed attending race car shows. Other hobbies included deer and squirrel hunting, fishing, and riding his side-by-side. At the end of the day, he could always be found at home catching up on his favorite western TV shows.
He was a graduate of Fountain Hill High School. Later in life, Jerry accepted Christ and embraced his faith.
Jerry was employed with Ashley, Drew & Northern (AD&N) and Arkansas Louisiana & Mississippi (ALM) Railroad as a diesel mechanic and was later promoted to a high-level management position. He later became self-employed, operating Miller Logging successfully for 15 years. After more than 35 years of dedicated railroad service, he decided to retire.
Retirement did not slow down the friendships Jerry formed with his railroad colleagues, including Mr. David, Mr. Steven, and many others. He looked forward to their frequent lunch outings and road trips across Southeast, AR.
Some of Jerry''™s happiest retirement days were spent at the Texaco in Fountain Hill with a good cup of coffee alongside his beloved brother, Bobby Ray. Together, they solved the world''™s problems while debating politics, sports, and sharing hunting and fishing stories.
Jerry could also regularly be found at Patriot Fuel Stop in Monticello, spending time with his crew and his brothers-in-law, Sammy and Gene. He always made sure to get both himself and his great-grandson, Macien, a honey bun for later.
Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Leann Miller-Cook (2020); his parents, Lewis Edward Miller II (1974) and Bobbie Jean Grays-Miller (2017); his fraternal twin sister, Cathy Lanell Miller (2025); brothers, Louis Edward Miller III (2003), Dwain Lee Miller (1999), Charles L.
