Clifford Stanley Adams, 69 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born May 28, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Ted and Kathryn Gifford Adams and moved to Crossett at age 3 and attended school and graduated from Crossett Schools.

He was a diesel mechanic for several years, moved to Monticello about 1987 and worked at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home and Ampfuel. He served in the U. S. Navy during Vietnam, was a Volunteer Firefighter with the Monticello Fire Dept. until his health forced him to leave fire service and was a member of the Drew County-Monticello Search & Rescue Unit. He also served as Circuit Court Bailiff for the last 4 years for the Drew County Circuit Court and was Prisoner Transport Officer for the Drew County Sheriff's Office. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Don Adams and was of Catholic faith.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Jacqueline Adams of West Monroe, LA and his niece, Nancy Adams Smith of West Monroe, LA.
