Mona Jarvis Smith, 55 of Dallas, TX, passed away suddenly at her home, Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She was born April 3, 1957 in Warren, AR.

She was a retired Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Army, having served 24 years. She was a supply specialist serving in Germany, Maryland, Panama, Louisiana, California and Florida and loved serving in the military and traveling. She was a very adventurous person and loved being at the beach and palm trees. Mona was a long time animal lover and was a foster giver to many animals that were given up.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffery "Butch" Jarvis and her father-in-law, Richard Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis "Curt" Smith of Dallas, TX; her father, Russell Jarvis, Jr. of Andalusia, AL; her mother, Molly Sue Chadwick Jarvis of Benton; one brother, Brent Jarvis and wife, Tina of Benton; one sister, Teresa Jarvis Neilson of Houston, TX; mother-in-law, Joan Smith of Pittsboro, NC; brother-in-law, Timothy Smith of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Kristine Smith of Pittsboro, NC; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
