He was of the Assembly of God Faith and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Shelby Thomasson.
Survivors include his parents, David and Leigh Thomasson Bayird of Monticello; one brother, Drew Bayird of Monticello; his grandparents, Earl and Wilma Bayird and Betty McLemore-Kight, all of Monticello and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
